Formation Pilates

Module 0 is designed to  introduce the candidate to the practice of beginner level exercises (without equipment) and provide a first and solid base of knowledge of the Pilates method .

This module is also suitable for practitioners who wish to improve their knowledge and practice of the Pilates Coresprit® technique.

Module 0 - Fundamental Matwork

Program
of Module 0 of training

Module 0 – Fundamental Mat is designed to perfect and consolidate the practice of beginner-level Pilates exercises and provide candidates with a solid foundation of knowledge .

  • Prerequisites : a basic knowledge (beginner level) of the Pilates Method is recommended.

  • Duration of the module : Module 0 will consist of 3 workshops of 9 hours each (27 hours in total) .

  • Minimum/maximum number of participants per module : a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10 participants are admitted per training course.

  • Regular attendance at Coresprit Pilates beginner classes (at least once a week) is recommended during the training cycle . A personal practice program will be provided to candidates to guide their personal practice work.

 

Contents of Module 0:

Module 0 focuses on learning and perfecting basic routines . The following topics will be covered:

 

  • The Pilates method and its 8 principles : Joseph H. Pilate s, his mission, the history of the Contrology technique, Pilates on mat and on machine.

  • Coresprit Pilates and its principles : pedagogical progression, postural study of the student, structuring of the lessons, the “warm-up-preparation-practice-return” course. »

  •   The basics of Pilates anatomy .

  •   Breathing techniques . The function of breathing in the Pilates technique. Respiratory pathways: diaphragmatic, costal, lateral costal breathing.

  • Stabilizations and basic activations of postural muscles .

  • Study of 5 beginner level exercises , their modifications and adaptations, cut out and analyzed to understand the purpose of the exercise, the muscular activations, the muscular actions and the progress of the exercise.

  •   Basic warm -up and stretching techniques.

Program of the training days:
  • Saturday 5pm-8pm

- 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: practical workshop
- 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.: study of the educational sheets for the exercises

  

  • Sunday 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 2 p.m.-5 p.m.

- 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.: practical workshop
- 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: study of the educational sheets for the exercises

- 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.: theoretical study workshops (pedagogy, anatomy, history, etc.), teaching practice with role-playing.

 

Assessment exam

For candidates wishing to obtain a certification of teaching aptitude, an evaluation examination, consisting of a guided practice of beginner exercises and a teaching practice with simulations will take place on a date to be established.

  •     Training Manual - Anatomy and Physiology;

  •     Training manual - knowledge;

  •     Personal training sheets

Place of training

The training will take place at the Center Anjaliom, 144 Bd de la Villette, Paris 75019.

 

All the necessary practice material during the training weekends is available from the Centre.
