Program
of Training Module 2
Module 2 enriches the practice of basic exercises with three supports, the Magic Ring, the Mini Stability Ball and the Toning Balls. These materials provide a more precise feeling of the stability of the center of the body and with their multiple possibilities of use will make your lessons even more varied and fun .
Prerequisites : it is advisable to have followed Modules 0 and 1 before committing to this module.
Module duration : Module 0 will consist of 2 workshops of 7 hours each (14 hours in total).
Minimum/maximum number of participants per module: a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10 participants are admitted per training course.
Regular attendance at Coresprit Pilates beginner classes (at least once a week) is recommended during the training cycle . A personal practice program will be provided to candidates to guide their personal practice work.
Contents of Module 2:
Module 2 will teach you how to introduce small materials into your lessons and use them to:
emphasize certain actions to intensify them or make them more precise or fluid;
make the exercises accessible in the event of difficulty or disability;
propose always different variants to the basic exercises.
The MagicRing
This very classic accessory, invented by Pilates himself, allows a range of very interesting variants to the basic exercises.
For instance:
- as a stabilizer for the pelvis, between the ankles or the knees, in all exercises that require strong engagement of the thigh adductors;
- to close open muscle chains (Rolling like a Ball or Open Leg Rocker);
- as a support to challenge stability (side sets of the legs, Breast Stroke);
- as a stabilizer of the shoulder girdle;
- as an aid for stretching the legs in the warm-up.
The Mini Stability Ball
This small 30 cm diameter balloon is a real passepartout that lends itself to many uses:
- in the stretching of the column;
- as a point of support that defies balance;
- as a stabilizer for the pelvis if it is placed between the legs;
- as a stabilizer for the shoulder girdle.
Toning Balls
Introduced in the 1990s, Toning Balls (500 gram weighted balls) are an essential accessory for arm work and shoulder girdle stability. They allow you to create a real challenge with the strength of the body core in many variations of the basic exercises.
